Buderim hillsides, Noosa units and new estates: install realities
Buderim and the hinterland around Palmwoods have steep blocks and split-level houses. The outdoor unit often ends up on a high deck or a retained terrace, which lengthens the pipe run and can need an extra hand on the day. Noosa Heads, Noosaville, Mooloolaba and Maroochydore have a lot of unit blocks and holiday apartments. Body corporate approval, balcony placement and condensate drainage rules come first. Ask the manager before you ask for a price.
Newer estates at Baringa, Palmview and Sippy Downs usually have clean, accessible roofs, so ducted quotes there tend to sit in the lower half of the band. Older Nambour timber homes often suit two or three splits better than ducted.
Is there an air conditioning rebate on the Sunshine Coast?
