Air conditioning leads for licensed installers

3

installers per lead, at most

Homeowners who have already seen real installed prices, checked their rebate and asked for quotes to compare. Each lead goes to no more than three licensed local installers, and the homeowner is expecting the call.

Three at most

Each lead goes to no more than three licensed installers. The homeowner asked for up to three quotes and knows to expect your call.

Air con only

Every lead is a homeowner who wants heating and cooling installed. No handyman jobs, no mixed trades.

Licensed only

Current ARCtick licence checked before the first lead goes out.

First one free

Priced per lead. Your first matched lead in a new suburb costs nothing, so you judge it on a real job.

How an air con lead reaches you

  1. 01

A homeowner checks prices and their rebate

They come to us from a brand guide, a cost page or the rebate checker, and see realistic installed prices for their house before anyone calls them.

  2. 02

They ask for quotes to compare

Nobody gets pushed. They finish the quote form only when they want quotes: postcode, bedrooms, system, what they have now, timing and contact details.

  3. 03

We match up to three installers

Only installers who cover that suburb and do that type of work. Never more than three on the same job.

  4. 04

You get the full brief and make the call

The whole brief lands in your inbox, not a teaser you pay to unlock. Ring early and quote properly. With three at most, a good first call counts.

What is in every brief

  • Name, mobile and email, given by the homeowner at the end of the quote form
  • Postcode and state
  • Number of bedrooms
  • System they want: split, multi-head, ducted reverse cycle, or not sure yet
  • What heats and cools the house now: nothing decent, an old split, gas ducted, evaporative, electric heaters or other
  • Timing: broken now, before summer, or just looking
  • The indicative installed price range and rebate estimate they were shown
  • Their own notes: storeys, rental, existing gas heater, the useful details

Why these leads convert

The biggest complaint about paid leads is the homeowner who filled in a form just to see a price. Ours have already seen one. Before they can ask for quotes, they have looked at realistic installed prices for their system and house size and checked the rebate for their postcode. When you ring, you are talking to someone who knows roughly what the job costs and still wants it done.

We promise homeowners up to three quotes from licensed locals, only after they ask. That makes us picky about partners. Quote honestly and turn up when you said, and the leads keep coming. Sit on leads or spray quotes, and we stop sending them.

How it compares with the tradie marketplaces

General marketplaces suit some installers. If you are weighing up hipages, ServiceSeeking, Airtasker or Bark, or looking for somewhere new since Oneflare closed, here is the difference.

My Home Air Con General tradie marketplaces
Trades Air conditioning only Every trade, from handyman to builder
Businesses per lead Three at most Three on some platforms, more on open-quote and credit platforms
What the homeowner saw first A realistic installed price for their system and house, plus their rebate estimate A job form. Price expectations get set by whoever quotes first
What you see The full brief, upfront Often a summary until you spend credits
How you pay Per lead. We talk you through pricing for your area Monthly subscription plus credits, credits only, or a flat membership

Who we send leads to

  • Current ARCtick refrigerant handling licence
  • Electrical work done by a licensed electrician, whether that is you or a sparky you work with
  • A clear service area, by suburb or postcode
  • Installers who call back, quote properly and turn up

Pricing, straight

Leads are priced per lead, and your first matched lead in a new suburb is free. What a lead costs depends on where you work and the jobs you take on, so we talk you through pricing for your area once we have your application. The form also asks what matters most to you, from price per lead to how bad leads are handled, so that conversation starts from what you need.

FAQ

Air conditioning leads: installer questions

How much do air conditioning leads cost?

Our leads are priced per lead, and the price depends on your area and the type of job. Your first matched lead in a new suburb is free, so you can judge the quality on a real job before paying for one. Apply with your service area and we will talk you through pricing for your area. For context, publicly advertised aircon lead prices in Australia start from around $35 a lead, and tradie marketplaces often work out to $30 to $90 a lead once you add credits on top of a subscription.

How many installers get each lead?

No more than three. The homeowner asked for up to three quotes so they can compare, and we tell them to expect calls from up to three licensed local installers. You are not one of a crowd buying the same enquiry.

Is it worth paying for air con leads?

Only if the numbers work for your business. Divide what you pay per lead by your close rate to get your cost per won job, then compare that to your margin on the job. A split system, multi-head or ducted install carries enough margin that a lead source with a decent close rate usually pays. The things that kill the maths are leads shared with too many businesses and homeowners who have no idea what an install costs. We cap each lead at three installers and show every homeowner realistic prices before they ask, which is aimed at both.

Is hipages worth it for air con installers?

It works for some installers, and plenty keep it as one source among several. The complaints installers raise most are paying a monthly subscription plus credits per lead, contract terms that are harder to leave than to join, credits that expire, and competing on price with other businesses on the same job. If you use a marketplace now, tell us on the form. We would rather be one more source that pays than a replacement you have to bet on.

What is the best way to get more air conditioning customers?

Most installers who stay busy run a mix: referrals and repeat customers, a well-reviewed Google Business Profile, relationships with builders and property managers, and a paid lead source to fill the gaps between summers. Paid leads work best when you answer fast and quote properly, because the homeowner is comparing you with at most two others.

How can I get free HVAC leads?

The free channels are slow but they compound: ask every happy customer for a Google review, keep your Google Business Profile current with photos of real installs, service the systems you already installed, and stay close to local builders and real estate agents. With us, your first matched lead in a new suburb is free.

What is the 5 minute rule for leads?

It is the sales rule of thumb that the faster you contact a new enquiry, the more likely you are to win it, with the first few minutes mattering most. It applies here too. Each homeowner is expecting up to three calls, and the installer who rings first with sensible questions often sets the bar for the other two.

Do I need an electrical licence to take leads?

You need a current ARCtick refrigerant handling licence, which we check before the first lead. The electrical side of an install has to be done by a licensed electrician. Plenty of installers hold both licences, and plenty work with a sparky they trust. Tell us which on the form so we match you to jobs you can finish.

What happens if a lead is no good, and is there a contract?

We are setting these terms with our first installers rather than copying the marketplace fine print. The form asks what you expect on bad leads and contracts, and we go through both when we talk pricing for your area, before you pay for anything.

Which areas and jobs do you cover?

Homeowners come to us from all over Australia. We match on the suburbs or postcodes you tell us you cover, and on the job types you take on: split systems, multi-head, ducted and commercial.
